Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I expect to come to counseling?

This question is hard to answer – honestly, it depends on your unique situation.  It is safe to say that therapy takes more than a session or two to make any progress on what is bringing you in, although some people do find that just a few sessions are sufficient.  Other individuals continue long-term counseling (over 20 sessions).

Many times, individuals will choose to work with me as additional things come up in session.  There isn’t really a correct answer here, but we can work together so you can make the choice for yourself.

What are your business hours, and do you take evening appointments?

My business hours are by appointment only and my latest appointment time begins at 5pm.

At this time I am available to see clients in-person or virtually through my secure telehealth platform. We can be fully in-person, fully virtual, or mix and match depending on your needs.

Are you a Christian counselor?

I do not consider or advertise myself as a Christian counselor, however I am open to discussing religion and spirituality if it’s important to you.  If you do not consider yourself spiritual or religious, this is a safe place for you too.

Do you see couples, families, or children?

At this time I do not see couples, families, or individuals under the age of 18.

Is everything we discuss confidential?

During our first Intake Session we will go over your rights as a client and confidentiality in detail.

Everything said in session with very few exceptions is kept private. I will go over any exceptions to confidentiality with you in our Intake Session, and am happy to answer any questions about this.
